What You Will Learn
Looking to inspire your child’s culinary creativity? For five fun-filled days, our experienced chef instructors will guide young cooks on a world tour of favorite foods and recipes. Designed specifically for kids, this class shows them just how much fun—and easy—cooking delicious dishes can be.
In this hands-on cooking camp we’ll give kids ages 8-12 a tour of global cuisines, including Italian, French, Mexican, and Japanese. They’ll work alongside other young chefs and our experienced instructors learning how to prepare easy and delicious recipes that represent each country, as well as kitchen fundamentals, knife skills, proper sanitation and much more.
Classes last around two hours a day for five consecutive days. At the end of each class, kids will eat their creations. On the last day, students prepare a menu that they choose. Parents are encouraged to join us at the end of class that day to see how much students have learned. At the end of camp, kids will take home a Sur La Table apron and copies of all the recipes they made.

CULTURE THRU THE KITCHEN WEEK – 5 Kids Cooking Classes
Take a trip around the world this summer. Each day we’ll travel to a new destination.Monday – Mexico
South of the border, your chefs to be will learn how to make all of the recipes for a feisty fiesta!Tuesday – Thailand
Where we will be making the classics such as Pad Thai and sticky rice pudding.Wednesday – England
For an afternoon filled with homemade biscuits and tea lattes.Thursday – Greece
We’re having a Greek extravaganza! Here we will be making some favorites like falafel and hummus.Friday – Back Home to the USA
We’ll conclude the trip by coming back home with burgers, fries and a homemade ice cream party with all the fix ins. So get your tickets now because the kitchen’s ready to take off!
What to expect: Basic culinary skills, nutritional value, fun facts about world cuisine and what role food plays in different countries. Students will walk away with kitchen confidence, knowledge about food in other countries, a recipe book, and most importantly fun times and full stomachs!
