A close friend just got diagnosed with liver cancer... Are there any books or articles i can buy/read that will provide possible natural treatments for the cancer? No chemotherapy or anything of the like... Please help

A PET-CT scan may be suggested if doctors are considering surgery as a treatment. It gives more detailed information about the part of the body being scanned. The correct treatment of liver cancer can mean the difference between life and death. Not all patients with cancers in the liver are potentially curable. These are some of the treatments available: Surgery, Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Photodynamic Therapy, Hyperthermia, Radiation Therapy and Radiosurgery.
An all natural approach to treating cancer is usually through imunotherapy via vitamin supplementation and nutritional management. I haven't ever seen anything specifically for hepatic cancers. Best Wishes and good luck

ReplyDeleteImmunotherapy isn't a natural cancer treatment. It's a biologic therapy to get your own immune system to attack the cancer cells. It hasn't been shown to be any more effective than other treatments. It is, however, less toxic.

The body contains trillions of cells that need the proper nutrients to function properly. Water and salt are two of the three most important substances that the body needs to support life. Water is the delivery vehicle to get the nutrients into the cells and salt is important to remove toxic waste from the cells. Without adequate water and salt, the cells lack the nutrients they need, and so they become acidic and they start to malfunction.
Water and salt comprise approximately 75% of the body. The rest (25%) is made up of solid matter - including the skeletal system.
Proving that cancer is caused by severe dehydration can best be done by observing a patient in the later stages - specifically, looking at the massive weight loss. A common term used in this situation is that the person has been "eaten up" by the cancer. This indicates an assumption that the cancer has caused serious damage to the solid matter - a natural assumption, perhaps, since all people see of a healthy individual is solid matter, and when they're near death, it appears to be little more than an empty shell.
But the solid matter only makes up 25% of the body. This doesn't account for the massive weight loss. This kind of weight loss has to come from water.
To verify that this weight loss is water and not solid matter, look at the color of the urine output. This is a common indicator of the need for water that even the medical community accepts. Healthy urine is clear to a slight lemonade color. The darker the color the more the need to drink water.
The urine output from an end stage cancer patient is a dark orange color. There's no difficulty interpreting this sign - an extremely low water level.
Out of the 75% water and salt composition of the body, a loss of only 3% is fatal. Judging by just the orange urine output, there's no question that the patient in this example has far exceeded this 3% and has succumbed to dehydration.
Therefore, it doesn't matter what kind of cancer it is. The "type" only denotes the location. The cause for all "types" is the same - severe dehydration.
Giving soft drinks and other water substitutes at the request of the patient may seem to be the humanitarian thing to do, but it only worsens the problem, because these drinks cause dehydration (and an addiction to these drinks over the years may have been the initial cause for the cancer).
Chemotherapy is also not good. While it may kill the cancer cells, it also kills the healthy cells near the cancer cells. In addition to this, chemotherapy causes further dehydration - pulling the patient right back into the hole he's trying to crawl out of.
Conventional cancer treatment isn't all that bad. Cancers are cured on a daily basis - mostly through surgery. But sometimes additional radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy is given. And sometimes the latter is the only therapy used to bring the cure.
ReplyDeleteA few studies have been done to see what happens to patients who chose alternative therapy instead of conventional treatment. These studies show that the risk of progression/death significantly increases - most notably in those who refuse surgery, but also in those who refuse additional radio-chemotherapy.
