2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Event on 2012-05-12 09:30:00
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is not a race; it is a celebration of survivorship, an occasion to express hope, and a shared goal to end a disease that threatens the lives of so many people we love. When you raise funds for a Making Strides event, you're helping create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays - where breast cancer never steals another year from anyone's life. This is your opportunity to not only honor breast cancer survivors and remember people we have lost, but also to raise funds and awareness to help save lives and create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays!
There is no registration fee and people of all ages are welcome to participate and help raise funds to Make Strides to end breast cancer 5K fundraising walk. Registration starts at 8:30am and the walk begins at 9:30am.

• Decrease anxiety, stress and pain
• Increase positive mood, body awareness, and emotional health

• Build social networks for support; and
• Facilitate the mind/body connection
Will offer opportunities for self expression regarding the cancer journey through various artistic modalities such as painting, sculpture, drawing, etc. All art materials will be provided.
